In this moment I want to talk about Jordan Peele’s The Twilight Zone, specifically Season 1 Episode 3 “Replay”. But it wouldn’t be a Jordan Peele show without a bit of social commentary. In this episode, Peele tackles police brutality and the murders of Black people at their hand. But the story is truly about the lengths Black mothers will go to to protect their children.

The world is heavy yet there is hope. There is hope in the face of heart-wrenching pain and searing fatigue from playing a game that constantly changes right after you learn the rules. There is hope is because we are a resilient people.

I love Tracey Michae’l! Each time we speak it is like a soothing, meeting of the minds. So when she asked me to be on her podcast, of course, I said yes.

When ladies have a brand new diamond on their left hand, it is hard to make them think about the future. They aren’t thinking about the “worse” part of the “for better or worse.” I know that I wasn’t thinking about cancer and I definitely wasn’t thinking about hospice. But that’s where we are in our marriage. Hospice.

Now I am not going to do a full recap. For that you need to watch the episode. But let’s talk about a few of the themes and questions that I thought about while watching the episode.

Why is it so hard to stay faithful to one woman? Since we've been communicating for awhile, don't try to hand me the normal crap. None of the "well you know, men are visual creatures. We need variety." Or the "the only thing better than good p*ssy is new p*ssy." We are beyond that. So what is it? I mean can you really explain it to me?
