Meet Rhea Daniels, Chief Style Officer of Papierdoll Factory

In the interest of full disclosure, I must tell you that I’ve known Rhea Daniels for 20+ years. This weekend marked the one year anniversary of her business, Papierdoll Factory (PDF). In her first year of business, Papierdoll Factory has helped her clients save over $20-thousand on discounted items, make $5-thousand in revenue via Poshmark, and has donated over 1,500 pounds of used clothing to local charities. Not bad for one year of service. So to celebrate all of this good work, I sat down with Rhea Daniels, PDF’s Chief Style Officer, to discuss the PDF brand.

Neysa Taylor (IG @Myriadthatisme):  Rhea, thanks for sitting down & speaking with me.  I appreciate it. While I’ve known you for a while, my readers haven’t had the privilege of meeting you yet.  So, let’s start off with a fairly simple question… What is Papierdoll Factory?

Rhea Daniels (IG @PapierdollFactory): That is a great question but before I get to that let me say “thank you” for doing this.  I appreciate you. Ok, back to the question. Well, let me rephrase the question and explain who a Papierdoll is? A Papierdoll is a person who is many things to many people. They are always on the go. Their social calendars are brimming with work, family, and social responsibilities.  A Papierdoll is ready to be the “STAR” of the show. They are actively mastering their responsibilities while choosing to embrace all their hopes & dreams as well. Their plate is full. That is a “PAPIERDOLL”.

NT:  That sounds like my life!  Am I a Papierdoll?

RD:  Yes! You are!  Full-time job, wife, mother, pursuing a passion with very little time for yourself… You are definitely a Papierdoll.  While chasing down all of your dreams, you don’t have time to align your style with your personal brand. And that is where Papierdoll Factory comes in.   Papierdoll Factory is a virtual fashion ecosystem where we assist clients with discovering their PERSONAL STYLE by aligning your PERSONAL STYLE STORY with their company/ business BRAND.  We do this by facilitating SHOPPING excursions, optimizing TRAVEL PACKING, and curating BOUTIQUE STYLE CLOSET ORGANIZATION aimed at saving you time and money all while cultivating confidence.

NT:  Ok, so when I think of a stylist I think of celebs  on the red carpet. Do everyday people need a stylist?

RD: Absolutely.  Celebs keenly understand how their looks can enhance or undermine their career.   Unfortunately most people do not understand that concept. We’ve all heard people say “when you look good, you feel good.”  And that’s true. You have a special confidence about you when you look your best. Your presentations at work hit a little different when you are wearing that new perfectly tailored suit.  At Papierdoll Factory we are not trying to make you into something you aren’t. In true exquisite boutique fashion, PDF meets you where you are on your fashion journey.

NT:  That makes sense.  So what services does PDF offer?  Are there various price points or packages?

RD:  PAPIERDOLL FACTORY is a virtual fashion ecosystem where we assist clients with discovering their PERSONAL STYLE by  facilitating SHOPPING excursions, optimizing TRAVEL PACKING, and curating BOUTIQUE STYLE CLOSET ORGANIZATION. Simply put we will evaluate your closet and help you reimagine your wardrobe.  We can go shopping with or without you and pull looks together for you. We can even help with packing for a trip because we all want to look good when we travel. But the most important thing we do is talk to you about where you are right now - Are you in a style rut?  Do you need a mommy makeover? Have you recently lost or gained a lot of weight and don’t know what to wear anymore? - and where you want to be. PDF is the blueprint to help you present your best self.

NT: I can’t let you go without asking you for a few tips for the readers.  What is the hottest trend for the fall and what is one trend that we need to let die?

RD: Great question! This Fall you’ll see a lot of chic takes on camouflage, romantic tweeds, saucy snake prints and Western inspired hats, belts and boots.

NT: Thanks, Rhea!  Before we sign off here, is there one final thing that you want to say to my readers?

RD:  Don’t leave your PERSONAL BRAND to chance, "PDF" your life.

NT: Again, thank you for allowing me to interview you.  As much as we talk, this is our first formal interview. So, thanks! Now, let’s go shop my closet!
